
Dr Khalil Gebara
Khalil Gebara is a specialist in governance, local development, and public policy. His multifaceted expertise has been strengthened through his roles as a trusted advisor, policy maker, and civil society advocate. With a Ph.D. in Middle Eastern Political Economy, Khalil Gebara has a distinguished track record in academia, research, consulting, and training. He is recognized for his adept coordination of aid and donor support, rigorous research contributions, and skill in orchestrating complex training programs. A seasoned participant in high-level policy dialogues, Khalil effectively engages with government entities, the private sector, and local and international organizations.
Khalil Gebara currently teaches Economics at the Lebanese American University in Beirut (LAU). His previous roles included serving as an advisor to the Prime Minister of Lebanon from 2009 to 2011, as an advisor to the Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities from 2014 to 2019, and recently as a consultant for the World Bank from 2020 to 2024.
