Dr. C. Anthony Pfaff is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and a retired U.S. Army colonel. He has served in key policy and operational roles, including on the National Security Council staff and as a senior advisor to the Department of State. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Dr. Pfaff holds a master’s degree in philosophy from Stanford University, a PhD in philosophy from Georgetown University, and has published extensively on Middle East security, strategy, just war theory, irregular warfare, and AI integration in military operations.
